Wien Leuchtet
Ein goldenes Herbstwochenende lässt Wien farbenfroh erstrahlen. Tagsüber leuchten die Blätter in Gold und Rot im herbstlichen Sonnenlicht und am Abend bringt eine Lichtinstallation das Kunsthistorische- bzw. Naturhistorische-Museum zum Leuchten. Vivi, Leon und ich waren auf der Donauinsel mit Tanja, Thomas und Erik spazieren und haben Fotos gemacht. Abends ging es zum Maria-Theresien-Platz wo wir Zarrin und Navid getroffen haben.

Wienerlinien Remise
Das Verkehrsmuseum Remise von den Wienerlinien wurde mit neuem Leben gefüllt. Zu bestaunen gibt es seit diesem September alte, ganz alte und super alte Straßenbahnen und Autobusse sowie auch eine der ersten U-Bahn Modelle (der Silberpfeil) aus nächster Nähe. Wir haben die Gelegenheit genutzt, um uns ein wenig in der Verkehrsgeschichte von Wien auseinander zusetzen

München im Frühling
Anfang Mai ging es für ein Wochenende in die bayrische Landeshauptstadt nach München. Wir haben uns die Sehenswürdigkeiten, großen Parks und Freizeiteinrichtungen der Stadt bei traumhaften Wetter angesehen. Am etwas verregneten Sonntag ging es in die BMW Welt. Wir besuchten Xiao-Xi und Thomas die sich in München niedergelassen haben. Für die An- & Abreise nutzten wir den Zug (ÖBB Railjet bzw. Westbahn).

Exploring the Holy See, Vatican
There are many tiny states in the world. Some of them are within other countries. Such as San Marino or the Vatican in Italy. Eventhough it's a tiny city within a city, there is a lot to explore. An island full of myths, preconceptions and depression. One of the last countries that can call itself really communistic. Health and education systems are good in the country where Che Guevara is still a national hero, but this country is to suffer a lot. No real jobs, bad food and rundown houses and services...

Japan - Day 11
Right now I am riding the Shinkansen (Japanese high speed bullet train with 270km/h average (!!) speed) from Kyoto to Mishima on my way to mount Fuji. I spent the last couple of days in Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka and Nara. I did a lot the last few days and I am a bit tiered now, looking forward for a relaxing hike tomorrow. Fotos der letzten vier Monate
Nach langer Pause gibt's im Fotoalbum die elf neue Gallerien. Sie sind in den letzten vier Monaten entstanden und beinhalten unter anderem: Györ, Stockholm, Uppsala, Chicago, Minneapolis, London, Stuttgart und das dort befindliche Mercedes-Benz Museum und Bilder vom Couchsurfing Wintercamp in Budapest welches ich zu Neujahr besucht habe.

Exploring Cyprus
Together with my friend Iwona, I flew to Cyprus. We arrived there very early in the morning. The first two days we stayed in the North, which is the Turkish part of the island and the other three days in the Greek part. Because we rented a car we could explore the whole lovely island. (By the way they drive on the left!) We saw the coastline and the mountains!

Van Gogh, Schiele, Picasso & Co
Trafen einander am Samstagabend zir "Langen Nacht der Mussen". Nach 2003 war ich nun zum zweiten dabei. Besucht habe ich diesmal die Albertina, ArchitekturZentrum, Toblerone Ausstellung, Leopold Museum, Museum Moderne Kunst, Kunsthistorisches Museum. Dabei habe ich viele Werke namhafter und werdender Künstler bestaunen können. Danach habe ich mich mit Andi und Paul in einem Lokal getroffen.

Bulgaria: Sofia & Plovdiv
The past weekend, my friend Iwona and I flew to Bulgaria. We were couchsurfing in Sofia and a great hostess: Gergana. She was showing us around and even cooked for us. She also recommeded us to visit the city Plovdiv the second largest city in Bulgaria, which I didn't know before. It was worth going! I kept a good impression about the country or especially about the Bulgarian people

Ottawa
Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. The city is shared by the provinces of Quebec and Ontario and is English and French speaking. I managed to get there by the first of July to celebrate Canada day together with my CouchSurfing host Deanna and her friends.

Dublin Dispatches
As I retured home today from Dublin, I feel a bit exhausted. To be honest, I didn't expect to sleep so well in a 16 bed dormitory room: All of my roommates were very careful and silent - I just came home late :-) Anyway I already uploaded my pictures from Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. Travel through Slovakia
My journey started in the Slovak Republic in Bratislava by heading east to Poprad. I spent two nights in Poprad and visited the Vysoke Tatry (High Tatras), the highest montains of Slovakia. Afterwards I was going to the city of Levoca, a gothic village with 14.300 inhabitants. Followed by the small town of Spišské Podhradie, where the stronghold "Spišsky hrad" is close by. Continued by Košice for two days and Velky Krtiš. I went home by bus, which took a while...

Abenteuer Amsterdam
Diese unvergessliche Stadt ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert! Hier kann man viel erleben, vieles sehen und schnell Leute kennenlernen! Im Bericht kann man einige der vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die typischen Grachten, die Windmühlen, den Vondel-Park oder den berühmt berüchtigten Rotlichtbezirk Walletjes bestaunen!

Karikaturmuseum Krems
Zu Mittag haben Marlene und ich, Christoph beim Karikatur-Museum in Krems/Stein getroffen und haben uns das ganze angesehen, war ziemlich lässig - Wobei bei der Sokol Ausstellung erst die Schmähs nach 1995 für unser eins nachvollziehbar sind :-/

Polizei & Kultur & Plaudern
Bin mit Stefanie F nach Wien gefahren zur langen Nacht der Museen, am Weg dorthin hat mich mal wieder die Polizei aufgehalten :-/ Waren leider nur in zwei Museen, danach waren wir in einer Cocktailbar.
